Why It Matters

Raise Kids Who Know God and Walk With Him.

A few minutes in God's Word every day adds up. By the end of the year, your kids will have walked through the whole Bible and built a habit they can carry for the rest of their lives.

Know the Bible

Kids learn the whole story in order, from Adam and Noah to David, Daniel, Jesus, and Paul, and see how it all points to Jesus. They learn where each story lives in their own Bible, too.

Hide God's Word in Their Hearts

Every day has one key verse to hold onto. That's 365 verses of truth your kids can remember when they feel scared, tempted, or unsure.

"I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you."Psalm 119:11

Walk With God Every Day

Each reading ends with a question to talk about, a way to live it out that day, and a simple prayer. Kids learn to talk with God in their own words and follow Him in small, real ways.

How It Works

Read It, Remember It, Talk About It.

Every night follows the same four steps, so kids know what's coming and parents don't need to plan anything.

1

Read or Listen

A picture and a short retelling of the day's passage. Tap "Read it to me" and the words light up as they're read.

About 2 minutes
2

Story Check

Three quick tap-to-answer questions. Lumi the firefly cheers when kids get it right.

About 1 minute
3

Verse Game

Kids fill in the missing words to build the day's key verse, one real verse from the passage.

About 1 minute
4

Talk, Try, and Pray

A question for the family, a small way to live it out, and a simple prayer. Then kids earn a sticker.

A minute or two
Three Levels, One Story

Your 3-Year-Old and Your 11-Year-Old, on the Same Page.

Every day comes in three versions. Siblings hear the same story at the right depth, so family conversations work for everyone, from the toddler to the oldest.

Ages 2–4

Picture Book

"God made the bright light and the big blue sky. God made the sun, the moon, and twinkly stars."
  • Three or four short sentences with a big picture
  • One "point and say" question and a wiggly action
  • A one-line prayer little ones can repeat
Ages 5–8

Read-Aloud

"God made fish that swim and birds that fly. God made puppies, lions, and tiny ants too. God looked at it all and said, 'This is good!'"
  • Short sentences and big, friendly type
  • Made for a grown-up to read, or for the app to read aloud
  • Simple questions like "What's your favorite thing God made?"
Ages 9–12

Read-Myself

"On days five and six God filled the sea with fish, the sky with birds, and the land with every kind of animal. Over and over, Genesis says the same thing: God saw that it was good."
  • More detail and background, plus the real Bible passage to read
  • Harder questions and a bigger verse challenge
  • A daily Dig Deeper question, saved to a journal parents can read
  • Who Said It?, a quick game to review the stories
For Kids

The Part Kids Look Forward To.

Kids don't just read. They follow a trail, play quick games, and fill a sticker book, one story at a time.

Meet Lumi

A friendly firefly who greets your child by name, cheers them on, and lights the way each night.

Follow the Trail

Every story is a stop on the trail. Kids watch their path grow from Creation all the way to Revelation.

Collect Stickers

Each story earns its own sticker, like Noah's ark or David's sling. There are 365 to collect.

Quick Games

A 3-question Story Check and a verse game every day. Just enough fun to make it stick.

Bedtime Mode

Calm, dim colors for winding down, and a goodnight prayer with a sleepy Lumi at the end.

The Family Lantern

The lantern glows brighter each night as more of your kids finish their story. Siblings cheer each other on.

Questions

Parents Usually Ask…

What Ages Is Lantern Trail For?

Kids 2 to 12, in three levels. Toddlers (2 to 4) get a short Picture Book version to enjoy with a grown-up. Younger kids (5 to 8) get the Read-Aloud version. Older kids (9 to 12) get the Read-Myself version, with more detail, harder questions, and the actual Bible passage to read. You pick the level for each child.

Who Reads the Stories Aloud?

Every story, at all three levels, comes with read-aloud audio in a warm, natural-sounding voice created with AI. Words light up on the screen as they are read, so early readers can follow along. Many families still like to read it together, and that works great too.

Which Bible Translation Do You Use?

Every key verse is quoted from the English Standard Version (ESV). The daily stories are written fresh for kids at three reading levels. For Ages 9 to 12, the full Bible passage opens right in the app in the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), a modern, readable translation, with a link to read it in the ESV too.

Why Do You Need a Card for the Free Trial?

It lets your kids keep going without a break if you love it. We show you the exact date you'll be charged before you start, email you 3 days ahead, and you can cancel in one click from your account.

Can I Use It With More Than One Child?

Yes. One plan covers every child in your home. Each child gets their own reading level, stars, and streak.

What If We Miss a Day (or a Week)?

No problem. Lantern Trail always opens to your next unread story. The plan is 365 readings, not 365 dates, so you can start any time of year and go at your own pace.

Is It Tied to a Particular Church or Denomination?

Lantern Trail sticks to the Bible's story and the passage itself, so families from many different churches use it the same way.

Do You Have Anything for Teens?

Not yet, but it's on our list. For now, teens can read the full Bible passage listed each day alongside the Read-Myself version. Leave your email below and we'll tell you when the teen version is ready.

Is There Anything Special for Christmas and Easter?

Yes. Members get Bonus Reads: 24 days of Advent leading up to Christmas, and 8 days of Holy Week that end on Easter morning. They have pictures, audio, quizzes and stickers at all three levels, and they don't change your place in the year plan. The Advent stories are also free for anyone to read on our site.

Can I Give Lantern Trail as a Gift?

Yes. A gift covers a full year for the whole family, and you choose the day it arrives. They get a printable gift card and your note by email. No card is needed from them.

Do You Offer Plans for Churches?

Yes. Churches that cover several families get a bulk discount, and children's ministry staff use it free. Leave your email in the Churches section and we'll send the details.

How Do I Cancel?

Go to your account and tap Cancel plan. It takes one click, and you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Have a Teen?

Get one email when the teen version of Lantern Trail launches. Nothing else.
