Even great King David made a big mistake. He took something that wasn't his, and then he did something even worse to hide it.
God sent the prophet Nathan to tell David a story about a rich man who stole a poor man's only lamb. David got angry: “That man is wrong!” Nathan said, “You are that man.”
David was so sorry. He said, “I have sinned against God.” God forgave him. But David's sin still caused a lot of sadness.
