King Herod was angry that there was a new king. He wanted to hurt baby Jesus.
An angel told Joseph in a dream, “Get up! Take Mary and Jesus and run to Egypt!” Joseph got up in the middle of the night and went.
They stayed in Egypt until bad King Herod died. Then the angel said, “It's safe now.” They moved home to Nazareth, where Jesus grew up.
