The Philistine army had a giant named Goliath. He was over nine feet tall! Every day he shouted, “Send someone to fight me!”
All of King Saul's soldiers were scared. Then young David came to bring food to his brothers. He heard Goliath and said, “Who is he to make fun of God's army?”
David told King Saul, “God saved me from a lion and a bear. He will save me from this giant too!”
