Many of God's people had been taken far away to a city called Babylon. They were homesick and sad.
Jeremiah sent them a letter from God: “Build houses. Plant gardens. Have families. Pray for the city where you live.”
God said, “In seventy years, I will bring you home. I have good plans for you, to give you hope and a future!”
Key Verse
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.Jeremiah 29:11, ESV
