Ruth and Naomi were poor and hungry. Ruth went to a field to pick up leftover grain, like God's law allowed.
The field belonged to a kind man named Boaz. He told his workers, “Leave extra grain for her on purpose!”
Boaz said to Ruth, “I heard how kind you've been to Naomi. May God bless you!” Ruth came home with lots of food. Naomi said, “God is taking care of us!”
