Follow the Star

Advent Day 21 of 24 · Matthew 2:1–8 · Read it on December 21.

Far away in the East, some wise men saw a special new star in the sky. They knew it meant a great King had been born!

They traveled a long way to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the baby born to be King of the Jews? We came to worship Him!”

King Herod heard and was upset. He didn't want a new king! The priests said God's Word promised the King would come from Bethlehem. Herod told the wise men, “Go find Him, then tell me.” But Herod was not telling the truth.
