Riot in Ephesus

A Bible story for kids from Acts 19:23–41. Day 281 of 365.

In the city of Ephesus, lots of people believed in Jesus. They stopped buying little silver statues of a fake goddess named Artemis.

A silversmith named Demetrius got angry, because he was losing money! He gathered the other workers and started a riot.

Thousands of people shouted for two hours, “Great is Artemis!” But a city leader calmed everyone down and sent them home. God's message kept spreading.
