Singing in Jail

A Bible story for kids from Acts 16:16–40. Day 278 of 365.

In Philippi, Paul and Silas were beaten and thrown in jail, with their feet locked in wooden blocks.

At midnight, instead of crying, they were praying and singing songs to God! The other prisoners listened.

Suddenly an earthquake shook the jail! All the doors flew open and everyone's chains fell off. The jailer asked, “What must I do to be saved?” Paul said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus!” The jailer and his whole family believed.
